During March 2016, I visited the small town of Pushkar, in the state of Rajasthan, India. During which time, the people were preparing for the annual Holi Festival. Also known as the festival of colours, this ancient Hindu celebration has become very popular amongst other communities from all around the world. Every year, Pushkar receives a very large amount of visitors during this period, and I was interested to see how the place and its inhabitants were affected by the frenzy of the event. These photographs attempt to show the calm after the storm.
